Having messed about with building projects of various kinds for several decades, and in so doing, informally apprenticing with some very fine designers and carpenters, I decided it was finally time to embark on some more formal training. Consequently, in the fall of 2003 I enrolled as a part-time student in the Architectural Program at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario.
Some of the ‘Kindergarten’ drawings that I produced in one of my courses, along with photographs of the model that I constructed at the end of the term, appear here. The emphasis was on presentation skills and drawings of various kinds, using the ‘old’ technology of ink on Mylar®.
